Cusco: Arrival Details

FIRST DAY: this adventure begins at the airport or terrestrial terminal with your pick up of, we introduce to you a Cusco city during hotel transfer, after accommodated in your chosen place, we develop a large informative session about your stay and activities that make up your visit plan. At the balance of the day, we usually schedule: free to prevent symptoms of 

altitude sickness or soroche; if you eventually feels good, we suggest visit some museums, churches, markets, Main Square or others about your interest freely; pause and caution is recommended.

Cusco - Sacred Valley

SECOND DAY: In the idea, that we can make stops at places that call our attention without limits; We leave early morning towards Chinchero where we explore: archaeological site as we visit a colonial church located there, in addition we could take a time at the craft market; our journey continues towards the circular terraces of Moray, a space created for agricultural experimentation issues, due by micro climates created between  terraces; Then we head to Salinas Maras, which is a self-managed community whom according to pre-Hispanic times; salt water that emanates from the interior of mountain runs a crystallization process in small plots, that seen together (more than 5000), show beautiful pictures. Here, we have an alternative to making a small walk by one hour average to Pichingoto which allows us to cross Willkamayu or Sacred River, now Vilcanota River; quite a journey!

The trip continues to Urubamba where a buffet lunch prepared with Andean products awaits us in a typical restaurant: “a small sample of Cusco cuisine” “Afterwards, we will go to Ollantaytambo town, where we will explore the second most important archaeological site after Machu Picchu. Later, after check in at your place, we will have some free time to inspect around, which is known as the “living Inca town”, where its structures, narrow streets, Inca lintels and water channels, among other details, take us back in time and space. Here, in Ollantaytambo we spend the night, but you can suggest another place into sacred valley for this purpose event you wish.

Sacred Valley - Cusco

THIRD DAY: after breakfast our trip continues to whole by small towns settled into Sacred Valley with destiny to Pisac archaeological park (badly known as ruins); we will make a short hike as Inca trail per one and a half hours on average exploring valley and Inca constructions of the place; then we have the possibility of walking down to town (usually we do it with a vehicle), with a decision to participate in the Andean handicraft market.

From this point we start our return to Cusco by different route which allows us, to see a cut of the sacred valley from Taray viewpoint; tour continues to Tambomachay which was called Inca baths; Puca Pucara a military construction; Q’enqo, a place with a lot to decipher; and Saqsayhuaman where are imposing Inca constructions with cyclopean stones very close to Cusco city; at night we participate in a dinner show. End of three days of inserting ourselves in the Andean coexistence and its development in time; we schedule your transfer to the airport or land terminal on date and time you deem appropriate as part of the service.
